Strengthening school-based mental health support across Uganda.

Twogere works with more than 100 schools across 8 districts in Uganda, strengthening the people, structures and pathways that help schools support young people’s mental health.​

Why we work where we do

We work in places where strong local partnerships and existing school structures give us a foundation to build from.

Our approach is designed to work within the realities of each community; strengthening what already exists rather than creating parallel systems.

Looking ahead

From local experience to national scale

 

Our experience across these districts is helping us build a stronger, more adaptable approach to school-based mental health support.

​

From 2026 to 2030, we aim to expand to 200 partner schools across 10 districts, taking what we have learned to more schools and communities across Uganda.​​
