STUDENT ADVISORY COUNCIL

Young people should help shape the systems that support them.

At Twogere, young people are not simply beneficiaries of our work. Their experiences, perspectives and ideas help us understand what is working, what is missing and what needs to change.

Our Student Advisory Council brings together nine students aged 12–24 from the schools and communities we serve. The Council provides a structured way for young people to contribute to Twogere's programmes, strategy and advocacy.

What the Council does

From student voice to meaningful influence

Student participation should go beyond consultation. Council members bring their perspectives into how Twogere designs, reviews and improves its work.

  • Share experiences and ideas to improve mental health support in schools.

  • Advise on programmes, activities and issues affecting students.

  • Contribute student perspectives to conversations about mental health and wellbeing.

  • Develop leadership skills through training, discussion and participation.

Council recommendations are shared with organisational leadership and inform relevant programme and strategic decisions.
