OUR IMPACT
More than reach. Building capacity that lasts.
Since 2012, Twogere has worked to close the youth mental health support gap by strengthening the people, structures and pathways around young people.

Our impact is not measured only by how many people we reach. It is measured by what schools are better able to do because of our work: teachers who can recognise concerns and respond appropriately, schools with clearer systems for supporting students, and young people who know where to turn when they need help.

Our reach since 2012
What our work is changing
Teachers are better equipped
Teachers gain the knowledge, confidence and practical skills to recognise mental health concerns, provide appropriate first-line support, and know when a student needs additional help.
Schools are better prepared
Schools strengthen the people, structures, processes and referral pathways needed to respond to students' mental health needs and sustain support over time.
Students are better connected
Students have clearer pathways to support within school and, when needed, through families, communities and appropriate mental health services.
What we've learned
We do not measure impact simply by counting activities delivered. We look at whether our work builds practical capacity within schools—and whether that capacity changes.

Evidence from our capacity-strengthening work with schools

-
85% improved their mental health knowledge between pre- and post-training assessments.
-
90% reported greater confidence in supporting students experiencing mental health challenges.
-
100% of participating schools designated at least one Mental Health Focal Teacher.
We're taking what works further.
More than a decade of experience has given us a foundation. From 2026 to 2030, we will take what we have learned further—working with more schools while building deeper, sustainable capacity within them.

The impact we want to leave behind
We do not measure success simply by how many activities we deliver.

We want to leave behind schools that are better able to support their students; where teachers have the skills to respond, school leaders have systems they can sustain, students know where to turn, and appropriate care is easier to reach.

That's the impact we're building toward.
