Strengthening Systems

We invest in strengthening existing community systems instead of creating parallel structures.

Strengthening Community Support for Youth Mental Health

At Twogere, we believe young people thrive in communities where mental health is understood, supported, and prioritized. Strengthening local systems means creating safe, informed environments where youth feel empowered to speak up, seek help, and support one another.

We equip teachers, community health workers, and youth groups with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead mental health efforts through tailored training, mentorship, and collaboration. To date, we have trained over 1,500 teachers and 700 community health workers to lead mental health governance in their schools and communities.

By building community capacity, we are fostering a sustainable, grassroots response to youth mental health—led by those closest to the need.

  • 1,500+ teachers trained
